UFC middleweight Chris Leben stumbled upon a gym across the street from his brother's workplace. The gym was the home to 'Team Quest'. Leben was accepted onto the team and soon began training with Randy Couture, Matt Lindland, Nate Quarry, and Ed Herman. After refining his talent, Leben began fighting as an amateur, achieving a record of 5–0, and capturing the FCFF and UFCF middleweight titles.

Leben appeared on the first season of Spike TV's The Ultimate Fighter and gained notoriety. He began his UFC career with five victories in a row before suffering a knockout loss to current champion Anderson Silva. He holds notable victories over Wanderlei Silva, Yoshihiro Akiyama, Jorge Santiago, Mike Swick, Jorge Rivera, Patrick Côté, and Alessio Sakara. Leben is currently ranked as the number ten middleweight fighter in the world by MMAWeekly.

His championships and accomplishments include World Extreme Cagefighting Middleweight Championship, UFC Knockout of the Night (Three times), Fight of the Night (Two times), All-time leader in UFC middleweight fights (18), All-time leader in UFC middleweight knockouts (7), 2010 Comeback Fighter of the Year by both Sherdog and MMANews247.
